Katherine Joana Pérez Peru – Ica
I feel honored that God considers me worthy of his call and ministry, offering me an opportunity to join a new team at the Ica-Peru missionary base for Youth with a Mission (YWAM) and the Latin American Missions Association (LAMA) in order to to continue spreading the Gospel, not only in Venezuela but in Latin America.
God put in my heart to be a blessing and join the mobilization to continue encouraging the youth and children of Latin America to discover their place in the mission of God in this case in ICA – PERU a rural place with great needs of love and God’s truth.
My interest in attending and being part of YWAM Peru volunteering to serve in favor of broadening the vision of young Peruvians and raising the torch of the gospel in Latin America, transcending all economic, border and territorial limitations.
Testimony
I was born in Valencia, Venezuela. I met Christ when he was 16 years old, during his stage as a high school student, through a missionary, the father of his best friend who preached to him and a disciple. Since then he began to follow and serve the Lord with passion.
During this first stage of my growth, I was serving in the church and different places in Venezuela, I am a member of the Light of Hope Baptist Church and missionary of it.
Ministerial Formation
I graduated in imaging/radiology and currently a psychology student.
In 2017, I began studies at the Intercultural Missionary Training Center in Valencia, Venezuela; with the desire to prepare myself to respond effectively to the call that the Lord had given me to the missions.
In 2018, I was part of the School of Global Leadership (ELG), a School based in Aragua, Venezuela, whose focus is teaching biblical worldview and leadership development. In it I was training as a student for a year and from 2019 to 2020 I began to serve as a leader in the administrative area, evangelism, discipleship, cells within the Central University of Venezuela (Caracas) and at the University of Carabobo.
In 2020, I also studied at the Ready Set GO Sports Missionary School virtually and is doing an inner healing and leadership seminar with YWAM.In 2021, I have participated in person in the Ready Set GO Sports Missionary School.
In 2022, by the grace and love of the Lord, we were able to raise a team of university leaders to serve at the Universidad de los Andes.
Finally, the Lord has allowed me to be part of the formation of a beautiful team to lead the university ministry in Venezuela by the missionary organization.
This giving way to embrace the invitation of my brothers from Peru to accompany them in the beautiful work of ministering to children, youth and rural communities where the gospel needs to be spread.
For a long time God has been allowing me to travel to different places in Latin America with the intention of showing me the need in different parts of Latin America to also contribute to the transformation and be an active part of it.
After having prayed and remained silent to listen to God, I share with you this new challenge so that you can take an active part in the mission with me, praying, sharing or offering, becoming that essential part to continue the mission.
The weakest will multiply by thousands, and the least will become a mighty nation. I am the Lord; when the time comes, I will act without delay.”
